Alli showing off her new shoes. Oh to be that flexible again.

Jassmine and Mia enjoying the Vikings game on Sunday. lol

Here's a closerveiw of the football throw. One down one to go.

This is one of the football throws that I am working on. Can you tell we are still Viking fans even after 4 years away from them. I don't like the size so I think I'm going to add another row to the top for sure and maybe one to the side. Then I'll back it with some nice snuggly flannel, so we can stay nice and cozy while we watch the Vikings. Go Vikes!!!!

So Julie is wondering where the picture of the ugly quilt is. I just couldn't bring myself to take a picture of it, but I guess I will. Maybe after I finish quilting it, so it might look a little better. It's starting to grow on me a little. Going to take Jassmine shopping today for her homecoming dress. i can't believe she is old enough for all this already.

Well it's early afternoon on Tuesday, and I got to bring Rich home last night we were all so exhausted by this whole thing that the whole family was in bed and asleep by 8:15. My poor brain is just spinning trying to figure this all out. the biggest challenge is going to be monitoring his sodium, he loves his salt. Everything else he's pretty ok with at this point, but everything has all this hidden sodium in it. UGH!!! Well he's resting right now so maybe I can sit at the sewing machine for awhile. Then I can add a few picks. The girls and I decided this morning that I need to get the 'ugly' quilt finished so that Rich can have it with him when he has his open heart surgery

Monday, September 22, 2008

Well it's Monday morning and I have spent most of the weekend at the hospital with Rich. He had a massive heartattack Friday night. They did several angioplasties and put 3 stints in to stablize him and his cardiologist said that when he is a little stronger about 6 weeks they will have to do by-pass surgery. funny I work with people going through health issues all the time and answer all the queastions I can for them, but when your 42 and it's the love of your life you get pretty stupid. The woest part is trying to figure out how I am going to do everything take care of him & the girls & work. Knowing that we face open heart surgery in a few weeks. I do know that my faith is much stronger then I was believing. Never once did I ask Why God. It was always please God.

Here is a God's Eye quilt that I started a couple of years ago, then set it aside for awhile. I figured I should get it finished, and got to work on it. Rich really loves it and keeps saying I never make anything for him. hmmm. He does have a birthday coming up.

This is my finished top from last years $5 quilt club at Gramma's Attic. I just love this fabric and can't wait to see it once it is all quilted. I'm going to be making a long-arm quilter very happy when I drop these off. Might have to do it in a couple of shots!

Here is Mia she was confused by all this.

This is Scooter watching me take the pictures. He is all heart and Alli loves him to death which is good for him, since he is as dumb as the day is long.

This is the holloween quilt I made as a reward to myself for finishing the ugly quilt. Rich picked out the panel on a shop hip and asked if I could do something with it. I said sure and pcked up a group of 8 fat quarters. I really had one idea what I was going to do with it, but I figured something would come to me. I added some fabrics for my stash to sash it and boarder it, and here it is. The thing is huge!!!

This is a Thank You I made for Debbie one of the people Rich works with she had us come out and gave us a bunch of pears, green beans, cucumbers, & tomatoes. since mine are not doing well this year.

This is the card I made for Jassmine to give to her fiend Blair's mom. It is a little blurry but I didn't notice until after she had left. Oh well the card looked great.

Well I'm off to try and figure out how I can make a quilt for Jassmine that will tie her new favorite color in with last years favorite color. Here is the delemia last year was purple, so we painted her walls purple, this year she is in love with orange and polka dots. Ugh how can this possibly turn out for the good. Maybe the ugly quilt wn't be the worst thing to leave my sewing machine this year after all. lol

Let's ry this again. This is a picture of Kassidy's bag. It so fits her personallity.

this is the first hobo bag I did for a contest my friend and I wanted to enter. Kassidy really liked it.
this a picture of the hobo bag I made for Kassidy's birthday. Kind of cute and just a little wild just like her. She fell in love with one I had made for a contest.
